Professor Girlfriend graduated from a nickname to a musical project when composer/lyricist Anna Weesner asked singer Charlotte Mundy and engineer/producer Charles Mueller if they could make some songs together. The project’s animating impulse is to engage with the familiar territory of song, keep the stylistic doors open, and explore what’s possible therein.
